Wine Aerator, Diffuser, Pourer, Decanter

Was so excited to receive my aerator today and couldn't wait to give it a try. Sadly, all my nice wines met their demise with last week's festivities, so I dug around and found a cheapo mini boxed Merlot tucked away (don't judge...it's all I had on hand!) I opened my order to find a well packaged beautifully designed aerator with stand and black velvet bag. It's pretty enough to keep on display. Uncorked my "fine" wine (who are we kidding...I unscrewed that baby like it was the last beer to be found) and poured about an inch into two identical glasses. The first glass was pure unadulterated swill, the second glass I poured through my new aerator...a bubbly effervescence.Let the taste testing commence...First glass, un-aeratated. Not gonna lie. It was pretty bad. Hint of vinegar tones. Unappealing to the taste buds. Probably would have thrown the rest away unless I was desperate. Which I wasn't. Again, who am I kidding? I would choked it down. Second glass, aerated. Okay, I admit. I was shocked. Didn't even taste like the same wine. True, it still was a cheap red wine, but it was palatable. Smoothed it right out, took out the vinegar notes. Enabled me to finish the rest of the box. Not sure if that's a good thing but hey...again, no judgement. Gave 5 stars for ease of cleaning, even though I haven't washed it yet, but doesn't look like rocket science to me and I've been cleaning dishes for over 50 years so think I can handle it. Final consensus...if this thing works on crap wine, can't wait to try it on a good bottle! P.S. I hid the brand of wine to protect the winemaker and those who drink this on a regular basis and think it's good wine. Tip...buy the aerator. It'll make a big difference

Hands down an amazing aerator! Used it on a young Tempranillo Rosé and the effects were incredible. It made the wine approachable and opened up the nose. I highly recommend this aerator as I think the design is three times better than Vinturi given the design features!
